 Cardshark Mike A Winner

'Roach' takes over MVR race lead

'Cardshark' Mike battled his way through another tough final table to win Plainfield Poker Season #2 Event #10, his first win this season.  The head's up battle between 'Cardshark' and 'Roach' lastest all of three hands when 'Roach' pushed after the flop with a open ended straight draw that never materialized as Mike's pair of queens improved to two pair to win.  Rob 'The Pro' took third and Bill 'Double Dead 7's' took fourth place.

WSOP Circuit SNG's Coming To Plainfield Poker Soon

Plainfield Poker will be hosting three Sit N' Go Tournaments so you can win a seat in the upcoming WSOP Circut Event that is being played at the new Horeshoe in Hammond.  The Circuit events will be held at the 'Shoe in late October.  Once we have the event buy in totals we will be hosting three seperate SNG style tournaments that will be played on Friday nights in late August and early September.  The three SNG events will consist of a Pot Limit Omaha 8 or better, Pot Limit Hold Em, and a No Limit Hold Em (w/ antes).  The schedule for each of the three SNG's will be annonced via EVITE's in the next few weeks.  The grand opening of the new 'Shoe is slated for 8/8/08.

 WSOP kicks off on ESPN next week

Here's your chance to see all of the Plainfield Poker players who were playing... I mean watching some of the other events at the WSOP in Vegas.  Best chance to see one of us will be when they televise next week's event the 10k pot limit event.  We spent a lot of time in the No-Limit Lounge (i.e.- Losers Lounge). 

August 22nd: 10k Pot Limit Hold Em Event

August 29th: 1.5k No Limit Event (the one we all lost in)

August 5th: 5k mixed

August 12th: 1k hold em with re-buys

August 19th: 50k HORSE

August 22nd: 10k PL Omaha

September 2nd thru September 28th: 10k Main Event

November 4th: Main Event Preview Show (wtf...)

November 11th: Main Event Final Table

Cardshark goes from felt to victory lane at WSOP #2

Mikey P won the second of fourteen tournaments in the WSOP League II on Friday night in dramatic fashion as he was on life support with 1k left in chips with blinds at 700/1400 and he managed to win about a million races to beat out Matt (2nd place) and Cliff (3rd place).  Cliff leads the overall scores with 19 followed by Bill and Roach who are tied with 17 points.  For updated scores check out the WSOP page.
